I really like what you said on Crosstalk about putting pressure on our government to stop funding Israel. Do you have any advice as to going about doing this?

Hi Sean. I think that it’s important to call the White House Comment Line at 1-202-456-1111 as much as you can and give your message briefly. But it’s even more important to go to your congresspeople and senators. Ask for a meeting. Get neighbors in your same voting district to go with you too. If that’s not your style, write letters and call. Do it everyday, not just once. And it’s my own advice not to ask them to stop aid to Israel outright, but to make it conditional on Israel’s acceptance of and implementation of a just settlement. You can mention international law, but the US isn’t too into international law. If you call for halting all aid/support to Israel outright, you’ll be accused of anti-semitism (which you will be anyway, but better to avoid it if you can). Focus on YOUR taxdollars funding immoral and inhuman acts, not Israeli policy itself. That’s my advice. Would love to hear how it goes, and no matter how it goes, don’t stop.

It’s pathetic that arch misogynist van Creveld is considered a leading Israeli intellectual.
“Have you ever been under fire?” He asks … the blind intellectual dishonesty of these tribalist ideologues is stunning.

He certainly was not their best representative, that’s for sure.
